OK. It's February, they usually start the season in early March but they still haven't posted a schedule. Does anyone have any idea when they are starting the 2006 season?

Island has been open saturdays and sundays in march starting the first weekend, so long as weather is ok, no standing snow, and temp is above 32 for as long as I can remember. If the 05 schedule is still on thier site, that should be same as this years...other than different date #'s.

How'd you find that? I could only find the 2005 one:

Anyway, I should be ready for real this year. I just scored a killer deal on a used 2-216 FMIC and I've already got most of the stuff for the short route piping. I'm psyched to see how fast it'll go on pump with a FMIC set up that isn't an ebay special with 2.5" short route pipes instead of the 2" hot and 2.25" cold, long routes.

Awsome. March 5th then.
I got to get hammering on putting my talon together in time. It's going to be a fun street car this year, very cheap, streetable, hopefully low11's high 10's. It's going to be a nice un-stressfull season with no pressure.
Im still stuck on something stupid though. can't seem to press out the 2 lower rear control arm bushings, once I get those out and ES ones in...suspension back together & roll car onto lift. Motor is assembled, pretty, and ready to go in. Im holding out hope to keep the shep trans from my partout and use that (butter!).
All I need for parts to be ready for march 5th is 2 rear awd shock/springs and a set of wheels/tires. I suppose I can use the wheel/tires off my parts car though in a pinch.
gotta register and insure it this week too.

if i had a 4 bolt i'd bring my car out
madface directed at nate and philth
my car has a lot more torque now and i think i have a really good chance of breaking it. i'll bring the mustang out in aprilish and use the track to tune probably.

Sell em and put the money into something else that you need. Whats the best you've run? I really doubt you need them or they will help?

Exactly. No need for dr's for those times AT ALL?

Yeah high 11's shouldnt require dr's. Sell them to me instead. :D Im looking for 16's though. 17 is a little too big.

i do see your point and agree with you. I was more interested in the rims, but had to take the tires too. I will use them for the time being until i can afford new ones.

With my old setup making shitty power I went 12.3@112 and I was only running stock 205/55/16s and 1.7s were still not a problem with very little seat time? Hell, Luke went like 12.7 with minimal mods on 15" snow tires in his Galant?

more traction is always an asset with dsm's. always. Iv never seen a car that could not spin on the launch. If you had DR's your 12.3 @ 112 would have been 12.0 @ 113. lukes 12.7 would have been 12.5's.
Drag radials would help any dsm at any speed so long as the clutch is strong enought to hold a high rpm launch There is no magic ET where it becomes usefull.

stickier tires rob mph though, your car needs the right tires. i don't know if i would have gone any faster on drag radials in my galant. it doesn't make that much power.
i lost 2mph in my mustang going form 26" hot rod tires to 26" slicks, and you all know how consistant that car is.
