Well, most of you have known that I have been looking for a new car to have fun with. I didn't want this car to drag with, just something that looks sexy, yet can be downright nasty when provoked. I love what I picked up, so let's get right down to it.

1993.5 Toyota Supra Hardtop
Renaissance Red on black leather
47k original miles
6 speed trans
and the fun doesn't stop there...(see last pic)

There are a few things that I will change, such as discarding the carbon fiber eyelids, debadging the car (or replacing w/ stock badges), definitely replacing the red interior pieces (console / trim) with the stock graphite colored pieces. Also, the cage seems to get in the way, but I'm just not used to driving a car with a real cage (built by Wildrides). For now, the car is in storage until the weather gets a bit "warmer" and I can enjoy driving the car to local car shows (somerville) and down the shore to cruise around. I narrowed down the field to 2 cars, the Lotus Espirit being one and the Supra the other. I've always wanted both cars, but I just couldn't beat this deal.

lol.. from a roll. Like I said, I didn't buy this to dragrace, but the previous owner did take it to E-town. On the toyo street tires, he went 10.9 @ 138. Needless to say, the car is pretty quick in it's own right, but I need to get used to RWD and 500whp before killing myself with 700whp. :)

Yes, I'm positive... that was shifting into 5th gear. On a Drag Radial, he went 10.6 @ 116 not shifting out of 4th and bouncing off the rev limiter at the 1000' mark. It is a very powerful car

EEEP! Now i see why you wanted to race me when i was somewhat bashing supra's. Dam, my car is gonna be fast but i dont know about thaaat fast. Well eventually ill be able to give that car a run for its money, but spring time ill most likely be pulling some where in the 11's. With more time and tuning i might be able to take you. All you have to do is just leave your car the way it is, DONT UPGRADE. :D And deffinitly ditch the red interior. Nice car.

Again, this car isn't falling into the hands of a 20 year old with a God complex. I'm very aware of what a "noob" to RWD cars with tons of power will accomplish.. (absolutely nothing). I'm going to learn the ins and the outs of the car and how it reacts to certain types of driving. I didn't spend all this money to crash/trash the car just to prove it's fast.

God, I'm starting to sound old.....

Funny you mention that, because the first time I got a ride in the car, it was on race gas and tuned for 26/27 psi. I nearly shit myself holding onto the cage. Of course, I'm the kind of person that feels better when they are in control of the car!!!

Rich and Greg,

I say we go to Pocono Raceway for PDA full course day (August 20th) and try to make it through alive... you only live once right?

Agreed, even if I'm getting passed due to being cautious, I bet that I'd still have alot of fun. It's a deal, I'm totally game!!! I'll see if Aaron wants to bring his blown Viper too.

Is this your mid life crisis car? :P

If it is, it's one hell of a midlife crisis  you gonna take that thing to bwater applebees? I wanna see it

Yes, this car will be at B-water Applebees when the weather is nice. This will be the FIRST car that I've owned that will actually be garaged all the time and it will never see rain :) (unless there's a Tstorm.. hehe)

Any kind of precipitation + power you and I are making = 360's all the way down the freeway. Don't try this at home.

Congrats greg, I know you've been jizzing for a supra since you sold your dsm. :) That's a very nice looking one.

Thanks Mike, when it's nice out, we'll all get together again.. maybe a BBQ up at Jerry's place in NY?

You'll have to come to my house out on the island for a BBQ, Jerry moved out of that house over a year ago, he bought a condo in yonkers. We're getting close to have as many supras caravaning to the the SO as dsm's :)

Wow, how time flies!!! I'll definitely come out to your place for a BBQ, so keep me updated as to when. Hopefully, I will make the shootout this year as well and I might even take the Surpa.. if it's nice out :)

Hey Rich, been a looong time! When are you having that house party again?

Greg *cough*POSTWHORE*cough*, when you bring the beast over my house for a break-in party?

Do we have more supra owners on here? I wasn't aware we had another member in the Supra community (shows how little I've been on this board).

Does this still merit going to the shootout? We now have the texas/vegas supra thing going on, but damn it is far.

I'm waiting for Rich's party too!! Yes, I'll admit, this post is probably 50% me.. but what else did you expect? :) If it's nice out this weekend, I'll stop by with it. As for other Supra owners, I think it's you, me and Mark (stock = poop). I'm still very much up for going to the Ohio shootout, but as for Texas / Vegas, that's a negative. A bit too far for me...

Well tonight is a nice day... and maybe it'll be a nice night... so you can take it out late at night... for a supra-style cruise at triple-digit speeds. :P jk. I wouldnt want to risk such a nice car just to see how fast it is. Knowing it's fast is where i'd leave it at. Unless a un-forgivable chance popped up to let er' rip.

speaking of unforgettable chances, I had a freakin winner today coming home down route 80 east. Around exit 27 I get a run in with a modded 1.8t golf, play with him for a while, get to a few exits down, a gorgeous viper pulls hard onto route 80, mess with him for about 5 miles, naturally got my ass handed to me by the viper. Viper pulls off of route 80, no less than 200 feet down a road, a brand new blue 06 Z06 pulls onto the highway, but wants no part of it, ghey. I havent gotten into a pissing contest on the highway in like 6 months (rightfully so, my car is slow as hell), so those 3 cars in one outing was a pretty rare occasion for me. Greg, you would have had a field day breaking the hearts of those two cars, oh yea and on the back roads to my house I saw a delorean. Was it that nice out today?

i think that dude lives in Denville. there was a Delorean for sale for a year now there. he wants like $18K or some ridiculous number. Car is at the house right by the light on Rt 53, maybe 100 ft from Hoovers, 7-11, Young gas station. Can't think of the intersecting road at the light... Parks?
