Yea, so the acura is probably going in the paper for this upcoming weekend and I wanna get back into a dsm. Looking for a 2g eclipse or a 97-99 talon. I'd prefer AWD, but not a must. Just wanted to see if you guys knew of anything for sale for a good price in the area. thanks! :D

If your looking for a cheaper price, look for the talons, they generally go cheaper than eclipses. Never buy a car off of ebay... you'll stumble on something sooner or later

I've seen a few good one's...awd too....on dsmtuner and sent out some e-mails. I'll never buy off e-bay again. And no rushing decisions this time. If I have to be without a car for a while to find a good car, I'll wait. Something will turn up....just takes time.

Its perfectly fine to buy a car off ebay if you do it right. Use it to find the car then go check it out and complete the sale off ebay, thats how I found my talon it took a while but i was picky and wanted a early '92 talon manual in white/black.

its fine to check out tuners and maybe even an occasional car on ebay, but you are so much better off finding a car that isnt sold on either. They most likely are less molested if bought from a private party than through a tuners site or ebay. This isnt always true, i'm sure many of us have bought an already modified car, but for what jeff is looking for here it seems that a long time stock vehicle is the best bet.

IMO, it's hit or miss with a used car no matter what. E-bay can have decent cars for sale, so can tuners, or any other forums as well as stuff like autotrader or cars.com or whatever. If the car was owned by someone else, you essentially have no idea how the car was treated. The only way you know is if you buy it new, or you know the previous owner and they were the ONLY owner of the car. It's rolling the dice either way...you just have to make an educated decision after looking at it.

well 13K is definatley out of my price range...$8k is squeezable, but I'm not looking for a highly modified dsm. I'm looking for either stock or just minor stuff. I'm still looking to sell my car first as well. But if you can "unmodify" your car and sell it for a lower price we can talk. PM me if that's a possibility.
