help me make a choice

I'm in the market for buying a labtop. I've done a little research and have come down to buying a dell. but maybe u can change my mind. My price range is between 2000 and 2300. I know there are some computer friendly peeps on the board so set me in the right direction. I'm lookin for something with a good warranty, etc. as this thing will be used at home and those many endless nights i seem to be spending at the WPU library.

T...Dell's are good. But this all depends on what you are going to use the laptop for. Seriously, if you're just going to use it for the internet and writing up some papers and just need a built in wireless card, you can get one for like $1200 easily. We'll talk this weekend when I give you my sweet intake. lol.

I bought a hp widescreen for 1800 love it. except i cant use it for most of the standalones outthere (no serial port). I have to say the customer service is excellent though i ripped the ac cord on a trip and they replaced it for free.
