mach1 on route 10

Spent the drive to both of my classes tuning and doing pulls, so my car is semi-tuned for the weather. I get out of class and head home looking to pick a fight with the good weather and my car working again. So I'm coming home at around 3:30 from school down route 10E. Have to stop at a light and notice a mustang rip through the intersection onto route 10 in a mini-powerslide. My eyes light up, light turns green, I take off after him. I guess he saw me motoring it up the fast lane because he moved over into the right lane and slowed drastically. I get closer and notice its a Mach1, blue with the single black stripe on it. The kid sits behind me in one of my classes, he gives the nod and downshifts. Neither of us give it full throttle yet, just a playful 60-70%, I give him a ricer blow-off so he knows what he's dealing with and it's on. Traffic clears up and the most amazingly straight stretch of highway I could have asked for opens up. We both slow down to about 45, he hears me drop a gear and he gets on it... I was already in 3rd when he took off, so I just mash on the gas. He's got a little over a half car length on me from the start so I've got some ground to make up. I'm paranoid about my recent changes to the tune and keep my eyes glued to the tach and the w/b... take 3rd to the top, glance up at the road, look back down, and we're going just under 120 so I hit the brakes. Look to my right and his front bumper is at my rear bumper. I thought those things were faster, but it was a very even matchup. Barney's first semi-respectable kill with the new setup... finally...

friend of mine went 13.7 with a stock mach 1... soo id say your car needs more tuning if u didnt murder him :D especially since u didnt get wheel spin

but anyway..rad race.... 1 kill for the revised FWDAB

yea, I still have about 12psi worth of boost leaks to clean up :cry: ... but under the current state of the car I was happy with it

yea evo3 at 18-19psi... tomorrow I'm going to spend all day fixing my nasty ass boost leaks, crank the boost up to 25 or so, and tune the holy hell out of it. Anyone wanna help me by staring at the w/b for me?

I think I beat him too, I saw a blue Mach 1 on Rt 23 a few months ago when my car ran.

Don't think you've seen me around since I dont drive to school, I live right across Center Grove Rd in front of the entrance to school, haha. I've seen quite a few DSMs around school but you have the nicest by far. My eclipse is waiting to get a spun bearing repaired :( . I just started school this semester. If you'd like to get together and shoot the shit and maybe introduce me to some more dsm guys at school that would be awesome. Let me know 8)

This is my last semester there thank god, but on tuesdays and thursdays I normally park in the back of lot 1 with a buddy of mine with a bright red 97 tsi awd. 6bolt, evo3, built tranny etc. Keep your eyes peeled and flag me down if you see me on campus. however I must inform you that....well....the green hat cannot make it. i'm sorry.

I am assuming a seat belt won't take two weeks to replace...but at this rate....it'll be a new seat belt, new seat, new fender, new pcm.....new car maybe.

very few and far between. my talon is sans motor for a while and my DD is a Cobalt SS and I've got a 1.8t VW for sale. I could roll for a car meet if it magically happens to be during my free time which is about 1% of my life right now.
