Yea I saw that accident on my way to work...shit was crazy, the camaro slamed into the A four door infinity before it flipped over, that camaro had to be speeding to get his shit on the roof like that  I hope he made it out alive.

that accident is crazy!
I love those R33 skylines, if I had 100k I would've bought that blue r33 that Justin was selling. You'll be surprised how many skylines roam around this area.

9. NISSAN SKYLINE GT-R
WHAT THE MAGAZINES SAID: If you were ever able to drive this car, you'd love it. The GT-R gets all the high-tech bells and whistles—twin turbos, all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, giant intercoolers—which define sports cars internationally. Really, we could go on and on, but you'd be much better off just trying it for yourself. Oh, sorry, that's right, you can't. Too bad: You'd think it was great. Um...blame the Feds.
WHAT THEY LEFT OUT: The GT-R wouldn't need twin turbos, all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, and big intercoolers if it wasn't a heavy-ass piece of pork to begin with. And the Feds ain't got nothing to do with it: Nissan never sent us the GT-R because out of the 12 people in America who'd actually spend 911 Turbo money on an outdatedlooking Japanese coupe, six are in jail at any given time.

I mean I can see it being sought after, but people crap themselves over the car, it looks like a damn 200sx with a spoiler and a grill. Don't get me wrong... I understand that it is a good platform and a solid car, but for christ sake dont defacate your undergarments over one. Anyone think of the 3kgt vr4? TT, awd, 2 door jap car, heavy as hell. I think the 3000's look better than the skyline anyway. It's just been hyped up in all the F&F movies, so everyone feels like its the second coming of christ everytime one is spotted.

You just answered your own question, the car is extremely sought-after.
People go out of their way to get one because they're gorgeous cars, even if you think they look like 240s, and like you said it's a great platform in which to build a car up from.
People sweat skylines because they're so rare, I mean think of it this way. If they actually brought the skyline over all these years, do you think people would still be shitting themselves over it? Ofcourse not because they'd be played out by rich daddies kids. But they didn't bring 'em over, hence why everyone goes crazy over them.

I agree, if they were made available to the US they would not be so highly desired. But I mean then again the same thing goes for Supra's. They are readily available to the public and yet i've seen 4" separate a ricer mobile from a 8 car pileup from the driver being so focused on a supra driving down the road. Why? They are available to the public, some in clear reach monetarily for the general population, traction nightmares, and heavier than my house. Why are they so idolized by the vast majority of people that A. will never afford one, B. never afford to mod one, or C. know how to treat the car if they ever miraculously got one? That's right kiddies... fast&furious and streetfire video's of 1000hp cars on the dyno. I love modding the multiple supra's i've had a chance to help work on, and they are a beautiful looking car so I'm not trashing the supra's much, but I'm just trying to make a decent correlation here as to the lengths some people go, just because other people say that it is a nice car

i know that kid, he used to work at outback on 46 wiht my friend...he had the 350z for a while, it was sponsored by sixth avenue or something on route 10. he drove htat car everywhere...hes from parsippany if i remember right. Anyways, his grandma died and he got a bunch of money...he told me he was going to get a ferrari after he gave the 350 to his bro but i guess he got a skyline. nice kid.
and also...skylines are freakin awesome. v6 twin turbo all wheel drive kind of like the 3000GT VR4 yea...but no because it has the attesa system. 4wd when you want it and 2wd when you want it. and hte motor is overbuilt similar to the 2jz...its a car worth getting your panties up in a bunch for.
