1st pass, straight street tune, 93 octane just pulled in unloaded tools and went.
11.9@116 (lifted in 4th becuase of some knock and got back in it)(23psi)
was pretty much out of gas, so I added C16 bumped boost to 25psi
11.8@123 bad launch
turned boost up, waited over an hour and a half and botched the last past along with blowing off a vacuum line which killed airflow in 3rd/4th 12.0@115..

RWD guys were saying the track was shit and there was a headwind, I dunno car went 11s on pump so I was happy, should go faster as I get more seat time with the setup and clutch. (I am using a competition clutch 'ironman')

drove the car 100 miles there and back plus stopping in nj to visit friends, 250 miles total :)

:) yeah I left the baby seat at home. Driving home on c16 though makes me really want to get a good meth setup though, 28psi all the time.

Since Sunoco did away with 94 octane in NJ a few months ago I've been thinking the same thing, methanol. I've got a few things to work out (I just finished installing my external gate tonight) before I put a meth kit in but it's a lot higher on my list than it was 3 months ago. Keep us posted on what you chose as far as a kit for meth goes.

Awesome Mike! 11's on pump is a nice acomplishment!!! This reminds me of the first time I went 11's. I had an FP Red at Island wih Ant my cous. My rear motor mount mount broke off my trans and I didn't know it while at the track. 60ft's were in the garbage because of the mount, and I shifted the ever living piss out of the car 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 to make 11.9 @ 120. That was the same day I drove my now dust collecting car, to the shop to start the 2.4 swap, when I found out my rear mount was disconnected (broken) from my trans. Since then it's been the best of a fucked up popping 11.0 pass at 126mph and nothing since then.

I hope the punctuation is decent as I am bent about now, waiting for this slut to come over my house.

you also have a small 16g on a stock motor... Mike's got a 2.3 and a 3065
Slight difference. He goes faster than you because he's got one of those sexy 2g's anyway which of course are superior in every way to those old beat up 1g's :lol: :lol:

Are you trying to tell me that Bushcur's or Rau's tubbed out, tube framed, RWD race cars bear any resemblance to a real 2G anymore? C'mon, be realistic, the motors in those cars aren't even longitudinally mounted anymore and I believe Buschur is running a Chevy auto trans behind it and I think Rau is running an auto too. Personally, I feel the 2G's are a more refined DD type car but their extra weight makes them less of a candidate for a race car. Anyway, congrats again Mike.

I own a fuckin purple 2g, and in no way has ANYONE ever told me my car looks like a chick-mobile. Although I'm sure now that I said that, some assblaster is going to say it and try to be funny. 1g's are lighter.. yipee... obviously that makes them superior :roll: :roll: I think all of you 1g owners are just jealous because you couldnt afford the body lines of a 2g. Instead of spending the extra 4k on a 2g, you spent that few grand replacing rusted out parts and busted ass 3bolt rears. Good trade-off

I don't think that lighter=superior all the time but if you're looking to build a fast drag car then lighter is better. You cannot dispute that. It's not uncommon to find a 2g with a 6bolt swapped into it 8) . And I know plenty about rear diff's from hearing you guys bitch about them chattering, blowing, locking, internally combusting, shitting squirrels, you name it, it seems to break on those pieces of crap. Can anyone that owns a 1g honestly tell me that they havent spent over a grand replacing beat up old factory parts? I like it when I take things off my car and the bolts arent rust welded to the part that I am extracting them from :lol: I would gladly pay the extra money for this body style and half the hassle when taking things apart.

Turbo, manifold, short block, head, struts, springs, swaybar, front and rear control arm bushings (polyurethane PWNZ), brakes, exhaust, trans and that's about all I can think of. The only things I replaced that I wouldn't have done anyway if I had a 2G are the rear diff and probably the radiator. For me its not even a choice at all since I have no desire to own any DSM, I lusted after a Gaylant for a long time before I finally bought one. Its a matter of personal taste in the end, buy what YOU like and most importantly enjoy it.
