Well, after a recent "bashing" which was not the point of my previous thread, I decided to make up for it. My thread had no intention on creating a bandwagon of "Nouri bashing", but instead, was created to seek some opinions regarding a new car. Although posted while angered at John, he has recently called me up to clear some of this confusion.
First off, regarding the unanswered phone calls and what I thought was an escape from helping me, turned out to be a giant misunderstanding. The 20 or so phonecalls I made seemed to have never gotten to Nouri's shop. He said he also called me a few times, none of which showed up on my phone. Whether it was my cell phone provider, or his phone company at the shop, either way, the phone calls never went through. He never answered them because of this. This was a no-fault situation.
Now, on to the clutch and a/c issue. When Nouri called me up, he agreed to help me with both of these problems. He is angered, as I, that the clutch and a/c are even problems. They shouldn't be, both him and I agree. He however wants to fix these problems and in return, satisfy a customer. His willingness to solve unexpected problems, although he's not even liable, impresses me, and shows that he really does care about his customers.
The electrical issues I mentioned, aside from the one's John told me prior to buying this car, are VERY minor and in no way make the car a POS. (power mirrors and cd changer to be exact, both in which were easily fixed when I finally got an hour to sort them out). The bald tires, blemished rims, and a relative smoke issue were ALL MENTIONED prior to purchasing the vehicle. I included them in my post, out of anger during a misunderstanding, plus the pressure my parents have been putting on me. However, Nouri did mention all three of these problems, beforehand. He tried to the best of his knowledge to inform me of all the problems (minus the a/c and clutch, which he didn't know about anyway) before I bought the vehicle, and was very thorough when I went to look at the car.
Now that John and I have come to an agreement, I can consider the whole transaction + problems afterwards, resolved. Aside from the thread, with all the bashing which was totally unecessary from me plus all the other people, John is really not a bad guy. Everyone has their own personal story with John, but I'm sure if John heard of any of you having problems, he would definetly try to help you out. His promptness to call me and resolve problems with the lex indicates that.
Thanks John for helping me out, and thanks Greg for closing a thread destined for flaming. Actually, if you could just delete that thread in its entirety, I would appreciate it.
