Its odd how many SVOs I see autox compared to how many exist. I think when they were new they were the hot autox car that year to get into the nationals. RWD, decent hp, light compared to the competition, took Mustang suspension mods.

Isnt that a turbo 2.3 in there? Its a small motor. How'd they manage to get the 5.0 cars lighter?

because 4 more cyl don't really weight that much more. they weigh less than a turbo, intercooler, and iron manifold.
curb weight on an 85gt is 3129, svo is 3250

Sure is a shame we dont see many of those SVO's around any more, that was one fine car. At the time it was too advanced and too pricey for the public, and with american muscle car enthusiasts preferring to hear the v8 rumble over the 4 cylinder, it lead to the demise of a fine car. 200 HP for a turbo'd 4 cylinder back in 1986 was quite an accomplishment for Ford.Adjustable koni's stock from factory,16" inch wheels, and was first with the euro'd look.

This is the car to autoX. Don't bother slowing down for a curve, you won't need to. It literally handles like a go cart (and about as fast as a go cart too :P )
The Mini was the star of the party. There were more people standing around it than any other car at the party. It gets more looks than a Ferrari.
