Just in case you guys were wonderin where I've been lately... Went in the hospital 2 weeks ago to get surgery. Had my tonsils/adenoids/uvula removed, my septum fixed, and 2 things I can't remember in my sinuses removed (6 surgeries total at the same time). It was supposed to be same day surgery in and out. Surgery went fine but the doctor wanted me to stay overnight just to be safe for pain management and they put me on morphine. Well that night at sometime I had went to sleep and a nurse had come in to check on me and saw I wasn't breathing and my hands were purple and I was completely cold. She started yelling and my mom who was sleepin in a chair woke up and everybody went nutts and I had undergone pulmonary arrest. Scary fuckin shit... I woke up and I couldn't barely breathe and thought I was havin a heart attack. Couple hours later they got me stabilized after givin me Narcan (sp) and I went to the ICU. I was there for a couple days (and had to deal w/ some fucked up treatment that I won't get into) and got out on a Wednesday (arrived on a Friday). About 3 days later my parents and I went back to the hospital to have a meeting with a patient's affairs rep and I'm walkin back out in the parkin lot to leave and I cough and my surgery opens up in my throat and blood starts pouring out all over the parking lot! So then like 5-10 nurses run out and take me in the ER. Then I had to go the the OR and have my throat re-cauterized. They held me in the hospital again for another day. So I get released and I'm just takin it easy till this Monday and what do you know... Monday night I'm about to pass out at 2am and I yawn and boom my throat starts bleeding again! Back to the ER... Didn't get any surgery this time but I blacked out in the ER from losin alot of blood. That was scary cuz my eyes were open and I couldn't see or hear anything. So they kept me till 5pm that same day and released me. So now I've been home since doin absolutely nothin bored outta my mind but I've been feelin better lately w/ less and less pain. I did make it out to Island this Friday and made a couple passes in my buddy's POS 1g. Pullin a 1.6 60' felt pretty damn good lol. Doc's said I still can't eat solid food for like another week and the same goes for alcohol tho... :cry: So yeah its been a fuckin nightmare... But hey I got my cams in the dsm this week! :roll: Now all I got left to finish the car is re-register, inspection, tune it, and find out if the smoke its making is just the muffler or something else cuz there's smoke comin from the back of the motor slightly.... We'll see. If its the motor I'm partin the fuckin thing out and buyin something newer, maybe a '01 C5. Well sorry for the essay but I figured I'd fill you guys in. At least I'm alive! And Rene,

Damn Kris, sounds very familiar. I had virtually the same exact surgery a ways back, but I had no incidents with my throat bleeding. I can imagine how scary it was, the doctors told me that it could happen but it the chances were extremely slim. Get better soon!! First alcoholic drink you can have, will be on me

damn Kris, glad to know your finally ok. Holy shit the cams are in, its finally ready to drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty sure your smoking is just from that muffler, cut it off and weld on a new one. Nate said he disconnected your exhaust and it wasnt smoking at all until he bolted the thing back up. Let me know when your going to the track, I'll film it for ya, oh yea and I'll even order the ambulance for those "just in case" situations, although they probably just follow you around these days anyway.

You're the second person I've talked to this week that had a bad experience taking out their tonsils. Glad to hear you're getting better though. I will warn you that when you do start eatng solid food, it won't taste the same!

Thanks for all the kind words everybody. I definitely will never reccomend this surgery to anybody. After I had it while I was in the hospital all these different nurses and people we know that we'd talk to would be like "oh yeah so many doctors now push to not have the surgery anymore". Rene I know your right about things tasting different already. My friends have said my voice is a little different now too. And Kyle I only hope your right about the exhaust. But I'm not 100% sure cuz smoke comes out from the back of the motor as well. We'll find out pretty soon tho when I get around to it. And Nate all the doctors I've talked to said that young kids heal up in only a couple days with this surgery where as normally adults take a week or two.

Well when you go to have yours taken out the doc's gonna tell you about 2 weeks probably. But I'm sure you won't last that long. I reccomend you listen to them tho cuz I heard you deep it... Your such a slut.

Sometimes it hurts and sometimes it doesn't. All I can eat right now is like liquids and soft noodles basically. Its murder...
