My friends selling a 1991 Toyota MR2
Car is stock, runs good for a 1991, has some parking lot type dings here and there - body I would say is between good and fair - a fun little car overall.

As copied from ebay ad:

[For sale is] an automatic, non-turbo 1991 Toyota MR2. It’s equipped with a 2.2L 4-cylinder engine, power windows/locks/mirrors/steering, a driver’s side airbag, A/C, a Toyota theft deterrent system, AM/FM/CD/cassette premium sounds system, alloy wheels, 4-wheel disc brakes, a sunroof and a host of other fine features. The car is completely unmodified from its factory form. It also has a new battery, alternator, tires, OEM fuel pump, spark plugs, fuel filter, oil and filter. The interior is clean and the seats do not have any rips or tears. The heat blows hot and the A/C blows cold. The sunroof is cracked but does not leak, and I was told that it will need new brake pads in the front soon. It did pass NJ inspection recently and it runs great, shifts smooth, and feels very solid. The car only has 110988 miles and has never been in any major accident (contact [seller] for a copy of a recent CarFax report).

How reliable are those? Would it make a decent dd?

The thing runs pretty strong if you want I can give you my buddy's phone number and you can check it out in person since you're over in Lodi which is pretty close to where they are. PM me if you're interested in checking out, just know that, like the ad says, it could use a new set of brake pads but a little TLC and it should e an awesome DD.

buddy of mine has one that has 195 on the clock with 0 problems. Same engine that's in the celica and camry I think on the NA's.

I agree man toyotas and hondas will run forever if you leave them alone and just drive them...change the pads, new timing belt once in a while and just gas and go.

I went to the annual East Coast MR2OC meet/cruise up in Bear Mountain and there were a lot of mr2's there and definately a lot more cars than there would have been if it was a DSM meet so I'm gonna take that as proof they're pretty reliable if you ask me 8) and about half of them were modified even!

Mann - did you go to the MR2OC Bear Mountain meet? Check out the website my friends and I made featuring our mr2 project car - www.xvracing.com (http://www.xvracing.com)

no, I was working the entire weekend as I have for the last 4 friggin years...(1 more left and I'm done!!!) so I couldn't go as usual. Plan on doing some mr2 events in 07 and hitting the autox circuit with the mx-5. The current mr2 is getting a 3sgte put in hopefully in a few weeks as I have time. All the parts/motor is on the way. 2500lbs and 240 hp with factory toyota reliability ought to be real nice.
