Confused with Safc2 install..help!

Ok...i was reading on vfag getting the schematics for 1g safc2 install...and am a little confused..becase they are saying that the rpm(green wire) out of the afc..goes to the black wire on the 24pin connector..http://www.vfaq.com/proj-pics/AFC/gvr4/24pin.jpg
But when i look at the afc connectoin manual they say to connect that same wire to the 18 pin connector wich is a yellow wire.

Is it the same thing??...Or am i missing something?

They are both rpm signal wires. If you follow the instructions that came with the s-afc you will have to set your # of cylinders to 2 in order to get the correct rpm reading. I had the same problem when I installed my s-afc. Just follow the vfaq directions.

Is there any difference?...The reason am asking is because..the previous owner of the car had it hooked up to the afc manual wire..so its already exposed..should i tape it and go with the vfaq...or just used the yellow wire?

Yeah you'll have to set the # of cylinders to 4 if you follow the vfaq. The s-afc directions make the rpm reading half of what it really is so setting the # of cylinders to 2 corrects it.

I also have a Msd dis-2..everything was already hooked up...But there is a wire coming out of it that's not connected..it plugs to an "ON" (TACH OUTPUT) connector on the dis-2...where does that wire go to?
