Hey wassup.. Well I am helping my friend install his new EVO3 16G. This is going to be my first time installing a turbo.

Well we got everything almost bolted on, but another of our firends are helping out unfortunately stripped the fitting off the oil feedline. So we are waiting to get the fitting, because no one had it.

But anyways on to my question. How did you guys prime the turbo?? I heard just pull the MPI fuse or just pull the spark plug wires off. I was planning to do the MPI way. Any of ya have any tips for priming the turbo or a different/better way??

thats pretty much the best way to do it. Make sure all the fittings are tight, pull the fuse, and crank that baby up for a few seconds.

If your using a s/s line like this :

Just leave the line going to the turbo unconnected
and pointed to the ground. Of course the other end will be connected
to the block or filter housing (wherever your running it from)
And crank the motor over until you see oil coming from the line.

Just unplug the coil pack connector and crank it over until the idiot light goes out or you've got pressure on the gauge (assuming its an aftermarket one). You could also have someone check for oil flowing in the head by looking thorugh the VC hole while you crank it.
