Cobra vs. NSX

Goin out to meet CHRIS today for lunch I came up behind a gorgeous red Acura NSX I always see around my town and got lucky enough that he and I were both going on rt. 80. I let him know I wanted to play when I dropped it into 2nd on 517 by my house where its 2 lanes for a short stretch and passed him. As we came onto the rt. 80 onramp I saw him falling back behind me and at first thought I had scared him off. When he got roughly 30 cars or so back I slowed down and watched him take off in my rearview. First thought in my head was "hell no". Dropped down 2nd gear at roughly 45 and took off knowing he was gonna have a huge running start on me. By the time he caught up to me I was doing about 65-70 and when he had gotten one car ahead I had finally caught up to his pace and then started reeling him in and charging past. By the time I shifted into 5th and shut it down around 120 or so I was at least 6-8 cars ahead of him if not more. I know they are under powered w/ a lil shy of 300hp but they are roughly 600lbs lighter than my car as well and I figured the highway was where his car would shine. After I tore him up he was cool enough to give me the thumbs up. Don't think he had any idea that he was gonna get walked. Very cool beating one of my all-time favorite cars as well. I'm not sure what year it was, I'm guess mid-late 90's with pop-up headlights. Snapped one quick pic with the phone as I was cruisin w/ him after.

Everyone hates on them for their power. I know that car would OWN me in the twisty's.

I wouldn't make fun of an NSX if it didn't cost $90,000 new. Thats were the joke comes in.

Hands down one of the hottest cars EVER even though they are severely underpowered. You can get a decent one with relatively low mileage for around 30 grand. I'd love to have one as a DD!!

Whats funny about the NSX is 85% of them are Honda red, yet IMO they look awesome in ever color except red. Black, white, etc.

If i paid $20-30k for a 12 year old japanese sports car, I'd have to go supra. Truthfully though I feel like less of a man when my car is a garage queen that has to be parked 30 spots away from all the other cars in parking lots. I like beaters.

I regret not getting one. I had a chance of getting one with 50,000 miles for $13,000 from a rich friend of mine. I just started a new job and wasnt sure if I could afford it at the time. I regret that now. The car did have a salvage title before he bought it but it was immaculatte.
