Any difference in a 6 bolt and 7 bolt one? I'm using a 7bolt crank pulley in my 6 bolt motor.. Do you think that will cause any issues?

Techincally they both suck if your motor is at all different from stock, and on the same token, are both awesome for the stock applications. I bought into the whole dynamic dampening thing and got myself a Fluidampr, not just because of the dynamic dampening, but also because I've heard horror stories of the stockers rotting out and separating (they're attached by the [tuned] rubber dampener). As for your ? I'm not exactly sure - check the p/n.

I ran a stock dampner for all my passes, Iv never used anything else. Take that for what it's worth. :?:
the thing is is there a difference betw. 6 and 7 bolt pulleys. I have a brand new 7-bolt one which I'd like to use in my new motor.

I've used both on both types of motors. My CAPS is down right now so I can't look it up and check the part number for you.

There's at least 3 different part numbers for these crank pulleys: 1g 6 bolt, 1g 7 bolt, 2g 7 bolt...from what I remember. Timing marks are the same on all, but I believe they are different in their weights or counter balancing with the hole drillings in them. I may be off on this though.

There may be differences but they aren't counterweighted AFAIK. I always thought the drill holes were to balance it.

Eh, I don't have a clue on this one. Never really looked into it enough.

Me neither. I'm one of those animals that runs a solid aluminum underdrive pulley on mine.

I too had this same question because I have an unorthadox and I used to go through a belt in 2 weeks when the car was on the road! I'm just going to order a stock 6 bolt pulley-- I think there is something wrong with the unorthadox and thats why I have belt problems

Make sure you have the WP pulley on the right way. It looks pretty "right" either way and I made that mistake after doing a warranty short block on a customer's car years ago. It took 2 belts before I figured out WTF was wrong. Its not off a lot but just enough to chew the belt up.
