INJECTORS: PTE OR FIC

Hey guys,

I seen two websites with injectors on sale. So I am about to purchase one of them.

I seen the PTE 1000's for $279 shipped and the FIC 1000's for $300 shipped. Is there a difference in the two. Or are both pretty much the same??

Getting DSMlINK next month, so might as well go bigger now so I won't need to upgrade them again.

So is there any difference between the PTE & FIC??

i'd rethink getting 1000cc injectors until you have the hardware to support it. What kinda "package" you sportin there big guy? :wink:

Anywho...I support the FIC over the PTE. Same injectors physically but I think FIC does more quality control, balancing & matching on the ones they sell. However this is JMHO.

it doesn't really work like that. you can only open a solenoid so fast before it doesn't work right/efficient. Without enough air your ECU will make the injector work soo fast that it may self destruct the solenoid inside. :twisted:

however, i have no idea what your current setup is.

Okay does it matter whether I get 1000's or 550's. I was jsut clearly asking what were the difference in both companies. At least two people actually tried to help answering my original question.

Let me rephrase my question so I don't get ripped by you guys. What brand of injectors do you guys prefer, PTE or FIC??

The brand is somewhat inconsiquential. They are the same injectors physicly, both PTE and FIC are bosch injectors. The differenace is in the balancing and testing. My opinion is with Hinz in that FIC spends more time/effort into making sure they are correct.

Moved to tech, I've used FIC's for a few years, no complaints.

i had pte for a year now with no complains so far and the reason i got 1000 is because they are cheeper than the 650 or 780's 8)
