I just did my 6 bolt swap (reused my 2g tranny) and I can't get the car into gear when it's on. The tranny shifts fine with the car off, but when it's on, it doesn't want to go into gear at all. I just replaced the master and the slave cylinder with new OEM units and bled the car for a good half hour with a buddy of mine, but still a no go.
any ideas?
Did you forget the throwout bearing? Try starting the car with it in gear.

did you make sure both dowels are still in the trans? they might have stuck to the engine you took out.

A friend of mine had a similar problem. Turned out to be a stripped bolt holding the PP to the flywheel. Makes the clutch fingers uneven and it wont release the clutch.

It could be the step height on the flywheel, my did the same thing when I put the clutch in. Try this: with the car off, put it into gear and press the clutch down, start the car and see the clucth is disengaging. If the car tends to move, than the clutchis not disengaging all the way. Could be the step height on the flywheel or the pivot ball/fork assembly.
