what turbo is this?

here a turbo that someone is selling me. he tells me it came of an automatic evo III he just got in from japan. . It is a td04 MFD# 49189-02600. is this a 13g, 15g or what ? I have heard of there being 3 types of 16gs. MHI16g, MHI Evo 3 16g, and the big evo 3 16g. Ive been searching online for a while to find out if this turbo is worth it being that Im running a 14b now . thanx

i dont know if there is a common name for that turbo. I've never really heard much about it. But scroll down to the part # (they are numerical order) on this site and it'll give you some basic facts like CHRA and such. It's a start

I don't think there is such a thing as an A/T Evo. That looks like a 13G to me and may have come off an A/T GVR4 which was not offered in the U.S., only M/T ones were.

Tdo4 -= puny junk. it's probobly the same turbo that comes stock on AT 1g DSMs (T25 size). Move along sir, nothing to see here.

this is a 13g . if you notice the turbo Im presenting is a TD04HL MDP#49189-02600. the 13g is a TD04 MDP# 49177-01900. thats why I dont think its a 13g

its probably just a different casting for the cold side. notice the bolt holes.
its the same design though really.

Not that it answers your question to "what type of turbo is it?", but I personally wouldnt mess with it either. Anything under a tdo5 is too small. I wouldnt use it even if it was given to me for free.
