Ive only seen them in an OEM strut. But why don't you just sell the agx's and go to the junk yard to get some stock struts for the front and have the Koni's welded in.

Welding a charged strut is a BAD idea (too much head aroud the strut cartridge could cause it to explode.) When you use the Koni front inserts on a 1g AWD, you cut the old cartridge from base of the OEM (or whatever suitable aftermarket junk you have) strut, discard the cartridge bad, insert the Koni cartridge into the base, and there's a bolt that goes through the base into the bottom of the cartridge to keep the 2 together. There's a VFAQ on it, but I have Koni yellows on my car, so I can definitively say there's no welding involved.

I'm pretty sure the AGX cartridge can be cut out of the base as it seems to be an identical style, however I used OEM bases on my setup.

Opps, I knew there was a bolt but I thought the cartridge was welded in somehow. My Koni's were done by Road Race so I didn't have to do any of the dirty work.

Yes - I have the Diamond Star Specialties coil over setup which uses Koni yellows all the way around.
