I have a 1g with a rebuilt motor (5kmiles) aem wideband, boost gauge, hallman mbc, an evo3 16g from slowboy racing, and an uninstalled walbro 255.
I am trying to figure out what kind of fueling setup to go with and what to tune with, I was thinking evo injectors, safc, 2g MAF. I would really like to yield 310-320 whp. I know the turbo is capable of so much more, SBR put down 400 whp on a 2.3l stroker. I am just looking for the best route, can any one help me ? Maybe push me to the right way, I tried searching for dyno numbers with supporting mods, no one seems to have any posted. Also can anyone tune an safc around north nj, I'll pay them to tune mine I can have the dyno arranged of course. THANKS

well your going to get into an endless debate over what injector size to get, so here's the options... 550's will work, but some people claim that they are too small for an evo3 (I strongly disagree with that, through personal experience and others can attest to the same), or you can be safe and go with a 660ish size injector although it'll be harder in some ways to get a perfect tune with an safc. Evo injectors are ok, but if you ever plan on going with dsmlink, the Evo injectors wont work too well on that program, otherwise, its a decent option. SAFC will be fine for tuning as long as you dont go with stupid huge unneccessary injectors. Wideband is the best tuning device ever, I would strongly recommend purchasing one. And honestly an e316g is not capable of SO MUCH more than 310-320whp. You have to remember that the 400whp was made on a dynojet dyno with a fully worked motor on a shop car with crazy compression... no normal modder will get near those numbers, so dont bother. 310-320 is realistic on a dynojet, but thats pretty much going to be where the turbo will max out and plateau power wise for 90% of engine setups. If you have a safc and a wideband, you certainly do not need to schedule dyno time to have it tuned. Street tuning will be just as good. 255 is a good pump, but you'd probably be wise investing in an AFPR to go along with it. And that's about it I guess, good luck

I would go with what you suggested yourself. 550's work good with a 2maf and afc. Should run fine and be pretty easy to tune. Also the injectors are enough to make that kind of power.

I made 303 whp and 315 tq on my evo III 16g setup with a walboro 255 and 660's with the stock fpr. This was done on a 2g mas and an s-afc. The motor was a 95 piston motor with stock cams. If you don't have an fmic or don't plan to upgrade to one I would use 550's as I did and went 12.5 on them. You can't expect huge numbers form the evo III on the stock motor. Those Slowboy numbers and other numbers like it were done with a fully built motor and an ems with the boost spiking >30 psi. Take my setup and throw some cams in it and you will have a car that will make the numbers you are looking for.
