Kumho Ecsta MX's

Kuhmo MX is a very sticky tire for the money. Its a $120 tire where everything else in its range is $175+.

I just put a set of Pilot Sport PS2s on the the first time. I'm SHOCKED SHOCKED how good they are. But they aint cheap.

ps- these are both summer only tires. You hit even slush in them and you're dead. I pulled my car out of the garage to work on something with a half inch of wet snow/slush on the ground and had to spin the crap out of them to get back in the garage (FWD). AWD is worse, you can get the car moving, then you turn the wheel or touch the brakes and you die.

If you want all season tires I have no clue, I only get all seasons for winter only tires so I look for the best snow grip with a V speed rating.

Read tirerack.com tests to compare tires. Dont read the reviews written by users, they're total garbage, only the tests performed by tirerack.

BFG FTW! I used to have BFG Comp TA vr4's back in the day......never slid, pleed out, very sticky...sorta old school now so a tire comparable would be good I guess. They cost me $135/ea back in 1993.

How wide is the rim? Are ya using spacers?

I was thinking the same thing... when I briefly had 225's it was sort of a squeeze, on the wheels AND the fender

oh alright, that makes sense... in the original post, you said 255 instead of 225. The 225's should be nice on there

I ran 245 nitto's for a little while. With a 48+ offset, they fit with some nice inner fender massaging.

I cant see 245 with +48 fitting on a 2G without hitting the rear suspension arms. Are you talking about an Evo or a 1G?

I have 255/50/16 on my car and with the coil overs I needed an 8 mm spacer in the front with the 40 offset wheels for the tires to clear.

My tires are crap too and I dont know if I should get neo gens/450's or 555's(not R's) I also dont know what size I can fit stock.. I guess 225/45/17 is best.. 2g

255's can fit on a 2G with no problem, it was the 7" wide wheel that they were on that made me go  .

Maybe it was a +40 then? Hmm..i guess i dont remember my rims offset. All i know is that they fit without rubbing. However, they would rub against the fender on ANY bumps prior to flattening the inner line out.

Would 225/50/17 fit? Or 235/45/17? 245/45/17? All of the above? lol I'm hoping to put down above 500 so I need some good tires.

All guys who are looking for a great traction tire with good treadwear, go w/ the BFG KDW2. If they hold the power in my Supra, they'll hold whatever you can throw at it. :)

 That does sound like a great tire- I guess this is it?? http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direc ... &tc=MTAHZ9 (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireProductCategoryDetailBrnd.do?tpc=MTAHZH&tp=Passenger%2FPerformance&tc=MTAHZ9)

I will most likely try these out... They look just like my BFG DR's
