What would this Accent need other than the obvious and just by looking......not sure though.......it seems as if the 4g63 will fit in backwords onto the stock motor mounts???????

any input????????????

gotta go with the older hyundai with the 4g61 motor. then everything is a direct swap just like doing a n/t eclipse.

with the new gen hyundai's you'll have to use an evo motor. but i'm not positive that it will work. on mine, it LOOKS like it will but i'm not positive and i havn't seen anyone do it.

any early 4-banger Hyundai(NOT Accents or Tibs) can accept a 4G63 with the right mounts. they were built with 1G Mitsubishi tooling & there are many mix-n-match no fab combos to be had...

92-95 Elantra - bolts in with stock mounts
89-mid/late90-something Sonata - stock mounts
90-94 Excel - use the Elantra mounts or from 89 turbo Mirage/Colt
91-92 Scoupe - same as Excel

you'd be hard pressed to pay beyond triple digits for an Excel hatch. stock curb-weight is like 2100lbs, very easy to shed some more. do the math. :D
