aparantly restoring a 130mb db from the phpbackup function is a nono... I tried the "hack" with putting in the admin folder, but that isn't working either. Chris is going to export it through mysql and we'll try it that way..

Any tips? when I click restore, point to the file I get data not found error, the phpbb faq said to break the db up in to 2mb parts, yeah 130mb/2 riiight..

what do they want to to break it up with?
is it a conflict between the 2 board versions? cause the old board is an old release.
have you tried it from multiple machines? maybe the backup was a bad download?

mike, you can't use phpBB/admin/backup.sql
you have to use phpBB2/admin/backup.sql
i'm going out on a limb that you forgot the 2 in phpBB2
the document says phpBB, yourse is phpBB2
its also more than likely case sensitive

I'm no phpbb expert, but the code appears to read from the folder that the admin_whatever.php resides in, it did cross my mind that maybe somewhere else it was pointing to the actual folder though. I searched the file for phpbb and there was no instances of it. Still going to try the MySQL direct import once I get the export from chris.
