2008 Suzuki SX4 Crossover.

I picked this up today from the Lincoln/Mercury/Suzuki dealer on route 23. Honestly, my DSM was my daily driver for almost 4 years and the altima I only had for a short time and never replaced both front axles that were busted when I got it. The bike is only good for nice warm days that have no rain so depending on that in northern NJ is like depending on our state government. Working on the DSM on the weekends, cutting it close Sunday nights, and busting my ass to be able to drive to work/school on Monday was not a pleasure. The clutch disengagement issues really ticked me off this past weekend to the point of buying a new, dependable, and safe car. Its rated up to 33mpg on the highway and is AWD. That was key for me here. Also, suzuki is offering 0% financing for qualified buyers during the month of March. I could not pass this deal up and consider it an early graduation gift to myself. I can't find my camera right now, but I got a 5 speed tranny and Azure Grey Metallic color. Its pretty zippy considering it only has 143hp. The coolest part is the lockable center diff. I wonder what kind of 60ft times I can get out of this.

Oh and yes, the DSM will still be here. If anything, i'll sell my bike, but i'm going to try and keep all three. Hopefully this degree pays off in May and I can start earning some real $$$.

congrats bro....it's a real pleasure to have a reliable DD for when the DSM is down. it's dissapointing sometimes when you forget you're not driving your fast car...but at least you can get around and don't have to bum rides from people.

RRE did one last year for the Auto Show circuit. They turbo'ed it and had it making 300hp. I believe that Suzuki is campaigning a similar car in this years WRC. There have been rumors of it coming to the US in an AWD turbo package. I'd love to see that, a small turbo AWD in this world of ever fattened up Evo's and WRX's. I hope you have better luck with your Suzuki dealer than I've had with mine. My wife's Forenza has had a few small things wrong but Rallye Suzuki is teh suck!

Thanks for the kind words, guys! 8)

I'm still kinda shocked that i'm driving this thing. I mean, i'm used to hearing spool-up or feeling the power the GSX has. Either that, or the front wheel raising to the sky on pure power. But hey, at least the digital display hits 40mpg while cruising to work on the turnpike and the GSX being broken is not stressful anymore.

Definitely glad you got this dude. Back when I had my first Talon I was in the same boat of that being my DD and worrying about it running so I can get to work/school. I remember one night driving back from work the AC belt magically disappeared on the parkway. Had it towed to the nearest exit at a shopping center. Had to wake up super early the next morning and have my step mom drive me to the parts store for a new belt and then to the car so I can fix it and then get to work.
