good deal. I got a 1990 also.
I'm waiting for the warmer weather to come and take it out of the garage.

If you wanna meet up one day, I'll show you how to disable the stupid auto-unlock lever on the door handles. :)

Sweet. Now start looking for a 87-93 mustang to get the proper powertrain for that car to make a monster miata.

That's on my list of projects to do before I die. Ryan's too Im sure.

pics after i wash it, which is like a 90 second job the car is so small

i researched motor swaps HARD, but to be honest at this time i cant justify pulling out a perfect drive train. so after i break this car like i break everythng else a big motor is a nice option

to be honest with you guys, im gonna paint the car myself with a buddy
he's been dieing to paint a car and im sure we can do a comparable job to Maaco and save myself the $700

4 grand for the install kit plus a motor, tons of work, and you have a nose heavy pig with a custom drivetrain that will need constant tending to as little stuff breaks. Then unless you invest in serious suspension and wide tire with possible fender work, you wont be able to get the power to the ground.

Keep all that in mind, when you can go turbo or supercharger for 3 to 5 grand and a quick bolt on and have a car just as fast but with less top end. Keeping in mind that a Miata over 110mph needs serious aero mods to keep it on the ground.

Yes, I admit, a big v8 in a small tiny car sounds awesome and is awesome to drive, but when you have a miata in your hands and start to seriously think about it (and I have), it doesnt add up. I've also thought about a 4g63 in it, but that just substitutes the 4g of v8 kit with 4g of time and custom work.
