I picked this up today. 98 Toyota T100, 4x4 v6. 100K, $2000. Runs perfect, needs a detail and the right front fender is dented. But for hauling my dirtbike around, its perfect. Fucking blue interior though....wtf?

Nice Utah! At least that blue interior is toned down from the Dakota's!
I remember in 99 I went looking at trucks for my friend and could not believe the price of those things. Nice to see it is an affordable truck. Looks like a steal dude. Congrats!

yeah really, who's cock did you suck to get that thing so cheap, those things go for like 7-8k! great find. I'm not sure of the validity of this, but a buddy of mine who works for a toyota dealer told me toyota will soon be recalling all tacomas from 1995-2000 due to rusty frames....word on the street is that they will buy the truck back from you for 1 1/2 times the book value.

I heard the same thing about the Tacomas. Not sure it covers the T100s but I heard they could be rust buckets too so maybe.

Ya it belonged to a friend of mines brother. He just bought a 2007 Tundra and I hit him up to sell the truck before he was even thinking about it. I was suprised too. I think he felt it was in much worse condition than it is. I mean he opened the hood to show me how the valve covers were leaking.......it was area of sweat like the barely running down the edge of the gasket. He thought it was a big deal. That and he felt the dent in the fender really made a huge difference. I mean the fender is probably shot, but I saw one on ebay for $45 so im not to worried about it.
OMG, that would be awesome if they buy this back. It actaully has no rust on the body, the underside doesnt look bad either.
do you still have the Dodge? Can I have it?

sure I still have the dakota, and yes you can buy it. Im planning on using it to finance my new truck.
i'll give you $1 more than what the dealer offers on a trade in.

are you sure about that? BC dodge offered me $4000 on a trade in for a new dakota, Andrea had the deal all ready for me, i just didnt want to spend 28k on a new truck right now. So $4001 then? ill even throw in the sirius
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that.

it was $4000 for any trade, no matter what it was. But i dont want a new dakota, so whats the point? I would be shelling out $425 a month for something i didnt want anyway. BUt it was a good deal, $4000 trade in, $2000 rebate, and $2000 off the sticker.

Fuck the Dakota, you should have gotten the RAM 1500. $4000 for trade and $300 under invoice and then have Andrea swing some rebate money and the 0% financing.

Pussy. You got a Saturn for gas mileage.
I thought the hemi had 14/18 for gas mileage? One of the HP techs came in a 2008 RAM and said he averages ~19, mostly highway, on the smaller V8.

EPA fuel mileage is a fucking scam, Ive never got what was claimed, In fact, I never came close, In any of the 10 vehicles i've had. And I havent driven like an asshole since I was 20.

They used to be pretty far off but they've changed it in the last year or so and its pretty close now. My wife's Suzuki Forenza claimed 26 or 27 on the highway and we get 25 with it but when you cruise at 70-75mph you're not going to get the same mileage as when you drive 55-60mph.

My Pt is supposed to get 24, I average 22.5 to 23 pretty close.

I had a Nissan Titan rated at 14/19 and averaged 13-14 city highway mixed. I had an Altima SE-R 6speed that I averaged about 15mpg mixed, but I beat the shit out of it. I just bought an altima 2.5 cvt with a claimed 23/31 and average about 24 mixed which is the best car I have had so far.
I think those tests are done in really controlled environments because to get close to the claimed highway mileage, you need a flat surface with no tolls and traffic.
The best part of the window sticker is that the highway mileage will say 25mpg and in fine print it says that the vehicle averaged 19-31 mpg highway in tests and it uses the average for the number. How many people average more mpg highway than the vehicle claims?
BTW the CVT is pretty cool because the trans keeps the engine at peak fuel economy unless accelerating or going uphill, but its weird because it always feels like it slipping because your accelerating and the rpms are coming down.

My Titan has the "updated" EPA ratings and is 13/17 and so far after 1000 miles I am averaging 13.5, mostly city. My Frontier was 16/21 with the old standards and I averaged 17-19 depending on the winter/summer gas mix. If I beat on it it got 15-16. On a trip to NC though I averaged 25 MPG. Thought it was a fluke but I did it again on the way home. Not sure what a galant is rated for but I am averaging 20 in that and it is my best MPG car at this time. The Lotus rated for 17/21 but I think the best I saw was 17 and I average 12-15. Not sure what my 92 Talon was rated for but pushing twice the power I averaged 22 in that car. Too lazy to dig out the Eclipse window sticker but I averaged 24 in that car and got a best of 32 on the way to the shootout doing 50 MPH waiting for Nate and the trailer to catch up. Not sure what Dawn's Maxima is rated for but she averages 26 in her V6 Maxima. Every car I have owned has been pretty close to the ratings.
Back on topic though, nice truck Utah, sorry you were a pussy and didn't go bigger! HAHAHAH
