I attempted to paint my valve cover, spark plug cover, and FP intake pipe this week. But I've been super busy and got yelled at for painting outside in my development. Apparently it's illegal. So this is how it came out. It looks good in the pictures, but up close there are a lot of imperfections.
Kyle (IBoostDoYou)...the spark plug cover is a tribute to the maroon taloon!

not bad jeff, paint that timing cover black and it will look pretty good together. I would paint that exhaust manifold flat black too if it was my car. Nice job though. Trgcoating.com he does great work. He did the valve cover on my laser

Yea, I'm going to pick up some super high temp black paint for the exhaust and heat wrap. I have to take the mani off anyway to tap it for my egt gauge.
Looks even better in person! :)

I try to do something nice.....geez
I had a tough time with the wind blowing shit and debris and bugs flying into the paint while it was wet. I'll probably get some stuff powdercoated later this year.

I just had my valve cover painted. It's an epoxy primer with a polyurethane top coat. The top coat is gas/oil/hydrocarbon/salt/temp (to some extent) resistant. The paint system is qualified and is used in space applications. It looks better in person. The car is still a long way off before she starts.

Unfortunately that is one of the few things they don't pay for :( I just don't understand how this past year was entirely paid for, but now I can't get any money for this upcoming year.
