View Full Version : Need a Honda ZC DOHC motor this weekend....
My friend needs a new motor for his 2ng Gen CRX and he wants to do the ZC DOHC non-vtech swap. He's got the cash in hand and would like to pick up the motor this weekend. Does anybody know where I can find one? Are there any engine importers in NJ/NY other than the ones I've found online?
Thanks.[/list]

www.car-part.com (http://www.car-part.com)
Its worth a shot. I honestly have no idea what a "ZC DOHC" engine comes out of.
John
i THINK it was a JDM motor only. However, I could be wrong...it's been a while since I was up on the honda scene.
I personally find Car-part.com to be a little overpriced. If I need a JY part, I usually go to my local junk yard and they have that really old, one channel telephone thingy that lets them talk to other junkyards at the same time.
What about J-spec in Paterson??
none in stock.
Now, i think he may go with a early 90's civic EX motor instead.

I have a 1990 or 91 2.2l accord motor lying around somewhere, you can have it for the low low price of getting it the hell out of my house!

H series motor won't fit the motor mount configuration of the D/B series engine bay. Unless they purchase the correct motor mounts. That would make a pretty sweet CRX. 8)

When have you known my GVR4 not to run? A properly built and maintained 4G63 is as reliable as any Honda motor.

4g63 = non turbo motor....i may as well just leave the broken motor in there.
