As some of you guys know, my grandparents were buried at Arlington this past weekend. The service was really amazing, unfortunetly it was in the pouring rain. I felt bad for the soldiers having to stand there in the rain, but they performed flawlessly. I highly recomend everyone going and having a look around, its an awe inspiring place. No fancy cameras in the group, so the pics aren't nate/luke quality.

That's pretty crazy.

And for whatever reason, almost every funeral I've been to with my family has been in the rain.

Sorry I missed it, I was really planning to go down for the weekend. Not sure if I ever actually knew the date.

Anyway, looks like it was a pretty interesting thing to see. Iv ever seen a military internment or any of the flag passing ceremony.

Sucks about the weather!

ya it was a really nice service. In my grandfathers case, it wasnt so much a sad event. He was 88 and died of natural causes.

What was also really intresting was that my aunt was able to locate his dischage papers from the Army, which I had never seen before. It had a few details about his purple heart they he could never remember. Namely the date and location, in his case New years day 1945. Near Flone Belguim.

Looks like a very respectful service.

I too was in a funeral this past weekend (friday, in piscataway) and the rain and cold weather turned it into a very typical funeral procedure..
