What should I do about this

It's not new, happened in the big snow. Eventually I got to take care of it. Best way is a new CF hood :D but I'm not sure I want to spend the money. Could a body shop fix it for cheap?

Body should would likely tell you to find a non damaged stock hood and just have them spray it to match. That hook is beat up enough to warrant tossing it.

Most body shops charge $100 an hour, and that's a couple hours worth of sanding, prep, bondo work, and finishing. Another stock hood off any 92-94 DSM can be had for $50. do the math. :wink:

GI junkyard had that excact color 1gB about a month or so ago when i was there. can't remember if the hood was there, but im almost positive it was a complete car.. id try hittin up there first

yeah i was there with my friend that has an off gold 1gA and it wasnt his color.. it was defintly the 1gB color which urs is

check it out.. idk if they are still stocking alot of cars but its worth a shot.. also when i make it out to my secret junkyard this week ill look to see if their is a hood in perfect condition in that color, this place is the only yard with 2gs,1gs, and new cars .. but its my secret :shock:

Hey, while any of you are at the 'yards, could you let me know if there's a red 1ga hood as well? Mine's not nearly as bad, but I have a nice crack from when I blew the UIC pipe off which is starting to rust.

ill let you know. the 2g i was getting my parts for my 2g off of had a perfect hatch, ill check it out sometime this week and let u know. i know i planned on goin to that yard soon soo ill just check out the dsms status

Mark, if you find ANY 2gb TALON front bumper, GET IT! Don't care what color as long as it's salvageable. If it needs some body work, that's cool. The kid I was supposed to be buying one from hasn't responded in 2 weeks, so I'm guessing that opportunity flew out the window :(
