is almost done. I just fired it up with the stock ecu to hear the exhaust note.

The hardware is in place, minus the BOV and larger injectors. The setup is as follows:

GT35R, .82 a/r t3 flange
tube header
tial 44mm gate
forge bov
3.5" SS exhaust with magnaflow muffler
52lb/hr injectors
AEM ems
large FMIC with SS tubes
stock 3.2 with 60k miles

I have pictures of the build and will get them on my web site next week. I hope to be running on the AEM by mid next week. I will update the thread when I get some pics up. I know the thread is worthless without pics. The exhaust sounds awesome, though!

The ram is stock. At 245k miles the original tranny doesn't need any help.

what would you use for standalone, since EMS isnt avail. and moteC is like 8 million dollars. i barely looked into it and decided it wouldnt be a good idea, i couldnt find any parts either....no mani's, or exhausts, it would all have to be custom.

in my opinion, the e36 can look much better than the e46.

twizzle
12-31-2005, 08:10 PM
eh...the m3 can, but you can never have the headlight style, or the smoothness of the body lines. i personally think a facelifted e46 with either mtech bumper or a variation and a lip is the sickest thing ever.

Sorry my Mommy and Daddy couldn't provide for me when i needed a car.

And I guess building a "Turbo car" from the ground up is cheap?

I didn't knock his car i simply like the e46 over the e36.

I'd rather drive my "neon" at lleast it hasn't stopped forward movement on me yet.

that is badass. the fmic is a little ridiculous, but whatever works! unfortunately the m3 doesn't share the same power/weight ratio as the rampage, but it should move ok. if i ever build a low compression bottom end it's a different story.

shane
01-02-2006, 02:12 PM
what is the compression ration on the stock engine? also what kind of boost do you plan on running, and what kind of hp do you expect?

mike radowski
01-02-2006, 03:11 PM
10.5:1 CR, 500hp, at whatever boost required to hit that number. 93 octane + methanol, or straight race gas. I will most likely run methanol like I did in the rampage.

I think that's around the same numbers one of the Asvedo brothers from Newark is running on his M3. If thats the case awesome! That car is hella fast. Hope to see you running some good et's at the track.

And about the 'Adult NJDSM'. That'd be a bad idea just because of the fact that some people who are above 21y/o here share the same attitudes on some occasions as a 13y/o girl.

i know a guy that can get you m3 parts on the CHEAP.
like $2,000 for a brand new car :)
they have a shop in newark where they pop e36 drivetrains in e30's and set the e36 on fire :)

i havn't talked to the guy in a few years. i hot rodded up his 66 charger and last i heard they havn't figured out a way around the security on the computer of the new m3. they had one all done, exept they couldn't get the motor to fire because of the security with the ignition key. they had an extra whole car that ran with the keys they wanted to sell for $2k
not bad for a new at the time 2003 m3 with 11 miles on it :)

shit the guy is probably in jail by now.

Prior owner got it warrantied and had to pay some out of pocket. The bill was ridiculous.

I used to hang out with andrew and go to bimmerfests events and such...I knew the car looked familiar.

And as for aem I had it for my last 1st gen talon. I absolutely loved it. I think it'll be more reasonable/justified to get it for my m3 :D Does it cost more for the bmw?

I need to talk to you about the details of turbo'ing a m3. I'll PM you or something for a screenname.

those will do until i get some good pics up.wow, nice setup, just don't bottom out. Those Ic pipes are way too close to the ground for comfort... :)

mike radowski
01-24-2006, 10:50 AM
The ic piping is fine. It is routed the same way in the TT kits and several others. The low point is the transition from the downpipe to the 3.5" exhaust, right after the flex section. Speed bumps and driveways beware. It doesn't help that the car is slammed. 3" exhaust fits much nicer under the car.
