yea the fuel cut chopped the legs out from under me. You'll see it in the vid if it ever makes it up here. Started in 2nd, hit cut a split second before going into 3rd, hit it BAD in 3rd, missed 4th, finally got it into 4th and hit it again. It was a mess, couldnt have gone worse, and all at 10psi... ughhhhh. All in all i lost because jeff's car is yellow

btw, get bigger injectors and your cut will go away. I was hitting major fuel cut due to creep from 17psi to 21+psi on my e316G.. I got 660's and turned the boost to 20psi and never had a problem with FC again

ok get the facts before you make such an erroneous post. Flimsy pipes? they are metal. I havent blown an ic pipe in a VERY long time. And the fuel cut was definitely b/c i was a mad sore loser, ah, that must be it! If the dipstick was the culprit, then why did you leave a 200ft trail of smoke out your exhaust everywhere you went? explain that one kiddo, your turbo is blown.

Ok...listen kyle..you may hate my guts...but heres the facts. My dipstick just broke about a week ago. The top white part snapped. I ordered one from the dealer that costs $17. In the mean time...i purchased a "coat hanger" universal oil dipstick to stop the oil from spraying. Apparently..the dipstick just made things completely worse. I've been having this problem for a week since my old dipstick was out of service. Today I drove the car pretty hard and boostin plenty which caused this ghetto dipstick to fly upwards since it doesnt seal itself into the tube. Im waiting on a new dipstick which i pick up friday. My turbo isn't blown. Everything else works fine with the car. I just ordered the necessary from Turbo Trix including EGT, boost , and oil pressure gauges. A new oil catch can where the pcv valve is should fix the crankcase pressure build up which sends the dipstick upwards. BTW...i plan on attending college OUT of STATE. I gotta leave my car at home. My older brother may use the car as he wishes. However, he doesnt know how to drive a manual nor does he want to learn. but during my second year of college...im taking my car with me.

Your turbo is blown, i'm not trying to be a dick, its the truth, you were blowing coolant AND oil out of your exhaust the entire ride up 287, and back down 287. It wasnt until route 80 that the smoke started coming out from under your hood. It had been smoking wayyyy before that out your exhaust. The video will show that, i could barely see on the road there was so much smoke.

ah yes, the famous hair dryer. I actually kinda liked it when it was on my car. The spool up time was awesome so it made the car feel "quicker" not faster. Thats also with an o2 dump. Actually its probably just shitty cars, with shit tunes. Stock for stock a dsm should beat a vr6 everyday. I've driven both.

yea automatic dsm's are slow as hell. The torque converter in there robs so much power its unbelievable. And we dont like the dsm's because they are fast to start off with because they arent, we like them because they respond to mods well and are easy to make much faster at 1/10 of the price than to get the vr6 there.

Yeah vr6s pull very nice, brother has a 97 jetta glx with custom catback an an air filter and it pulls very reliably.

Kyle, if your car is running so shitty why race it? Doesnt make any real sense, better to not race at all then to look kind of bad when beat by a cobalt when your gst has alot of mods done to it.

VR6s are nothing to brag about in a Jetta? Its a heavy 4-door. My brother's 5-speed only trapped about 88-89mph with an air filter. His is the 12v, the 24v has like 20 more hp so it only traps maybe 92-94? Thats nothing special in my book? My dsm stock trapped 92 and that was balls slow? You guys need to drive in some real cars.

It took me about a month to learn how to really get a feel of the black supra I had..but I hadn't driven a stick yet (besides the corvette). haha ya got me, it is not a limited edition but everything else is correct.

The car is a 1994 SP73 Single turbo 6 speed supra with 67k miles. It has Defi gauges all around and an AEM standalone. It has a full 4" exhaust to the turbo as well and is way too loud for my neighborhood. Oh well, you know what they say.....

I'd like to get it dynoed..highest sheet was at 704 whp with the 272 cams. I would like to see what it will make if I throw on my greddy pulley kit and super-trick polished fmic panel. (haha, i doubt much gains with the pulley kit)

I am going to enjoy the stock body for a while, but yes, start the hate, I will most likely next winter be putting a Do-Luck kit and 19" I-forged wheels. This won't be until I'm speed-satisfied.

I will be ordering a bunch of parts soon...98 headlights, Phillips 6000k HID's, and 98 taillights and clear turnsignals.

i definately think the STi would win. i'm not saying that i would beat it, again, just impressed that i was able to keep up.

and GM states that the SS supercharged has 205hp at the crank. however I'm going on saturday to get it dyno'ed for a whp number. i'll let you guys know.

those dyno numbers have to be crank. Not a chance that they give the car out at 205crank and it gets dynoed at 230wheel. Even at crank, 25hp more than factory? that shit isnt right. Jeff was showing me a thread about the dyno's also and they were consistently getting 210-218crank out of them. So they might be slightly underrated from the factory, but 230 sounds like a big load of BULLSHIT to me.

no, the srt4 is rated at that hp from the factory as wheel hp. There is a difference. Those numbers are right on the money. The cobalt dyno #'s are all over the charts
