Pretty crazy stuff. Shit I'd be screwed if I lost twenty bucks on a bet, screw loosing an entire race car!
Any idea what kind of time brackets those cars were in?

That does suck... let us know if you hear anything else.

i heard there were a LOT of insane parts in that car. like a built stroker small block with HUGE AFR heads.
that motor was worth more than most of our cars. plus a 9 second cage and ALL that time.
that blows
what sucks is that the producers wouldn't let him race a mustang like he wanted.
but if they let anyone race anything it would be notchback mustangs racing notchback mustangs in every episode. its probably the easiest and cheapest car to make fast. i mean what other car comes with a 4 link stock, and can be made stripped down to 2,600lbs with driver without any fancy parts. if you want to get nuts, i've seen 2,200lb notches. plus you can but a 4cyl coupe for like $1,000 in good shape. add drivetrain, and win :)

hopefully after the show airs he can fill us in on what really goes on. wonder if he got paid anything.
i mean they told him to build a car so he did. so far i know 3 guys that have been on this show and they all built the car for the race. none of them talk much about it.
most guys make a gentleman's agreement before the races that they won't take the other guy's car, so neither guy really loses. aparently not this time though.

the 2 mustang one?the one damn near srock and the other faxt as hell? that was my favorite episode to date

yeah justin came from the factory stock crowd. he had a mustang notch with a "stock" engine that always pulled wheelies like that. the car complied to "factory stock" rules and still went mid 11's at over 115 in a full weight car (has to be)
he's one hell of a racer.
tonight the guy from my message board will be on losing his car. from what i can tell he's a bigmouth and eats his words. haha

The Episode with the orange nova and white Camaro was on this morning . . . I didn't catch it all (had to go to work) but it looked like there was more mechanical difficulty then actual racing... I'll catch the episode tonight.
Only saw the show once and hated it, but I'll give it another try since we seem to think it might be real again.

my friend showed me during the first season on the camaro boards i think that they are allowed to buy their cars back for 200 bucks or something minor like that. one of the cars the first season was a green camaro i think that had a message board or car clubs name on the car and on their site it was leaked that they were allowed to do that. i believe they were from phily

i think a lot of these guys set it up ahead of time for the "buy back" but its between the racers. i know for a fact that the dude on my board lost his nova, and a guy i've known for a while justin burcham took home that mustang.
what i do think though is that these racers get money from speed to do this. they are never really that upset when they lose their car.
they might get like $5k to do up a car so they dont' really lose, they just don't win.
but i havn't heard any confirmation on that yet.

Yeah some dudes make it seem like it only took them an afternoon to build the car when they lose it. Def something has to be up...
