david wolfe of wolfecraft went 7.56 @191MPH backed up with 7.51 @ 191 on 315's last night.
so uh, he's got .01 seconds to go before the end of drag radial as we know it. under 7.50 and its 25.2 time
its probably the end of real doorslammer type drag radial cars. i mean who knows, its going to cause some serious rule changes for at least the mustang classes where you have to run a lot of stock suspension. i mean you can leave it, but who is going to dump $20g's on a cage and leave the stock stamped floor? hopefully some people do it.

this is a real car. i have 315 tires on my car, AND i'm using wolfe's rear suspension. so is big daddy who had the previous record BTW
mustang rules are STRICT in the suspension and engine department, he's using basicly street equipment.
he's being protested for adding a torque arm (stock on a camaro). so this might not be a "legal" record in mustang classes, but it is for drag radial in general.

oh AND this weekend was - David Hance goes 6.85 on 10.5's 1/4 mile!
dave hance of the lynch mob.... 6.85 on 10.5" tires.

i know you guys don't like most racing stuff but the drag radial and small tire classes seem to be appreciated here.
well ususally rick gives a shit :)

yeah i know
i was there for the first 200mph pass in pro-5.0 in kentucky. (pro class, almost no rules)

now they do it on drag radials in stock suspension cars.

 I'm always amazed at the kind of numbers these guys run on small tires/drag radials. Any video around of any of those runs, Luke?

dude, and Im scared of a 140mph talon. Screw running 200 on a dinky drag radial with 1500hp with stock ford chassis. Um fuck that, those guys are seriously insane. :!: Not to mention most of the run your only view out the windshield is freaking sky.

HAHAHA dude, that's like sticking weaver in my 05 talon with the nitrous on, no tach, and a loose tie rod end. Recepie for one ded dude and some yellow marks on the wall 1000ft out.

These "pro" mustang guys just amaze me. Never ever stop pushing the envelope untill NHRA says enough is enough and makes them stop.

yeah usually what happens is the rules get a little annoying on the big classes, so all the guys drop down a class.
i mean look at outlaw, they are faster than the pro class was 5 years ago.
right behind them is drag radial.
its like a free for all. they try and make you run as much stock stuff as possible and these guys still figure out how to go 200mph
shit factory stock has been running low 11's
you are allowed BOLT ONS. hahaha
they just limited rear gears in dohc mustangs in factory stock to 3.90:1
cosby was running 4.56's
this just took a half second out of these cars. gay, now they trap 1,000 rpm out of peak power.

Those times are ridiculous. That has to be an ass-puckering ride.

ya the best part about watching the drag radial classes in NMRA is that the car dont begin to wheelie until that are about the 330 mark.
