Just wanna here what some of you guys are paying for your insurance with a good record and not under mommy and daddy's policy.
I have insured currently a 94 grand am just liability, and 97 GS-t with liability only, and just through a lexus IS300 on there with full coverage and cheap deductables for $2,600 a year for all 3 cars. I couldn't believe it I'm 20 Years old and use GEICO.

1996 Dodge Ram 4x4 = Full Coverage
2005 Suzuki Forenza = Full Coverage
1991 Galant VR-4 = Minimum Liability
$1640 per year from www.esurance.com (http://www.esurance.com) and that's $600 per year less than Geico was charging me. Living in NY, being over 30, married, and a homeowner all make it cheaper though. Oh, and my license is spotless.

I'm still under mommy and daddy at 21(but i still pay it). every car ive owned (v-8, v-6, rotary, and 4 cylinder). every car has had just liability and has always been $1200 a year. These include both red and yellow cars. I have also lost my license due to speeding tickets a couple years back and insurance still has never changed. No accidents. This is with Prudential High Point insurance. It makes no sense to me at all but whatever. I just got a high gpa so im gonna save about 5% or whatever crappy little bonus they give you.

bean (and some of you others) you should see if your insurance company will give you collector insurance on your talon. because you are over 25 and have another car registered in your name you can register your talon as a collector car in NJ. usually this means you can do a agreed value with your insurance company on the car, and usually its dirt cheap. so you can say your car is worth $10k and be covered,
but the main advantage is NJ collector inspection. you just have to show up at the inspection station for an odometer reading every 2 years. they don't look at anything else, you pull into the back of the station.
but your insurance has to give you a limited milage policy that states you drive it less than 3k miles a year, you have to show them that proof of limited milage insurance also.
pretty sweet of NJ to give us this options. but the insurance companies are sometimes a pain to give you the plan.
Luke,
I got my Talon registered as a collector this summer. It is a pretty sweet deal, on thing that sucks is that you have to go to DMV to renew your registration. You can't do the collector reg. online. On my insurance it is just down as a car that is only driven less then 7500 miles a year.

I just got my "new car" insured as a collector as well, 6k miles a year or less. All they do at inspection is check the mileage :)
